Johann Jungclaus is a senior scientist in the Department of Climate Variability. His research focuses on climate variability on various timescales and on the development of ocean and climate models. In the EU H2020 NextGEMS project, he analyzes high-resolution coupled models in order to improve understanding of mixing processes in the ocean and ocean-atmosphere interactions.
