Franziska Glassmeier leads a Lise Meitner Research Group at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg and is an Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology. She studied Physics at the University of Göttingen and earned her PhD from ETH Zurich in 2016, followed by positions at NOAA and Wageningen University. Her research is broadly motivated by the complex role of clouds in the climate system and approaches to capture this complexity.
